How to Manage Stress

Here we look at the 4 A’s of Managing Stress - Avoid, Alter, Accept, Adapt.

AVOID - Say no to unnecessary stressors and delegate tasks.

Prioritise and organise to reduce stress.

Avoid people or situations that cause stress.

Take control of your environment to eliminate sources of stress.

ALTER - Change your approach by communicating needs clearly.

Break tasks into manageable steps and solve problems.

Be willing to compromise.

Manage your time better to prevent stress from becoming overwhelming.

ACCEPT - Accept what you cannot change and forgive.

Acknowledge that some stressors are unavoidable and learn to cope with them effectively.

Find meaning in challenges and focus on growth.

Acceptance can be enhanced through practices such as mindfulness, meditation and developing a resilient mindset.
