I offer Autism assessments for adults, as well as children and young people.

Below I have provided more information about the process of an Autism assessment as well as fees.

What happens in an Autism Assessment?

Step 1: Initial Appointment

Initial appointment to discuss current concerns, history of difficulties and screening questionnaires
(usually one appointment lasting around 50 minutes).

Step 2: Observational interview

Observational interview with yourself using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) NICE recommended tool. 
(completed in one session lasting around 50 minutes).

Step 3: Interview with informant if possible

Interview with parent/informant (friend, family member, partner) using the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence's (NICE) recommended tool the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) interview schedule.
(usually 1-2 appointments lasting around 50 minutes each).

Step 4: Review and Reports

Review and inclusion of relevant medical/psychological reports.  Scoring write up of questionnaires exploring mental health and sensory processing.

Step 5: Report and recommendations

Writing of report and recommendations.

Step 6: Feedback session

Feedback session to go through the findings, discuss recommendations and any questions.

  • £150 with a Report included in this fee.

  • From £1750 depending on complexity.

Post Autism Assessment Interventions

It can be helpful to access psychological therapy following an assessment of neurodiversity to process your diagnosis and help work on areas of difficulty identified in the assessment process such as anxiety, perfectionism, emotion, dysregulation, low self-esteem, etc
