Schizophrenia

Self-esteem

A feeling of pride in yourself

 

Sensitisation

In psychology terms the process of becoming highly sensitive to specific events or situations (especially emotional events or situations)

 

Serotonin

A neurotransmitter involved in e.g. sleep and depression and memory

 

Somatic

Characteristic of the body as opposed to the mind or spirit

 

Strain

Nervousness resulting from mental stress

 

Stress

A state of mental or emotional strain or suspense

 

Sublimation

Making the expression of an impulse socially acceptable

 

Suppression

The conscious exclusion of unacceptable thoughts or desires
